TRS Telford Tigers have launched a utilities scheme to save fans money and raise funds for the club.
The all in one utilities switching service www.tiger-utilities.co.uk
can reduce the cost of bills such as your phone, broadband, gas,
electric and mobile phones, with the club earning 3.5% of the members
monthly reduced bills through the service.
This service is being sponsored by local couriers www.bksameday.co.uk and
their Managing Director, Ben Coates, was pleased to help support the
service saying “I am delighted to sponsor this utilities scheme and help
the Tigers continue the fantastic work they have done since becoming a
supporter’s trust club.
"The new utilities service is a win win situation for both fans and the club”
Supporters can switch to the new utilities by visiting the website and selecting the utilities they are interested in.
These views are my personal ones, I am a very opinionated company director from Shropshire.

Another Van into the fleet, here we go for year 2.
BK Sameday
has just begun its second year of trading, and is celebrating by adding an
additional Transit van to the fleet. Tucked into their distribution centre in
Trench Lock, Ben Coates has decided it is time to start filling the warehouse
and becoming a distribution centre for local businesses.
With the more
vans they bring on board, the easier it is to offer a reduced price to customers
who can wait a day or two and add the items to the appropriate van, Ben said
“it has been difficult with the small van’s, we have had to be purely a same
day company only, get the goods and take it to the destination, therefore
charging our per mileage price, this will still be our main service, however
with the new vans coming into the fleet, we expect to cover the UK most days,
thus enable a collection in the North, and promise a delivery down South within
a couple of days, but at a cut price, because we can get more than one job on
the van.”
BK Sameday
know the importance of the local economy, indeed being a courier business,
there are many factors that affect margins, none more so than the rising cost
of Diesel, the weather slowing traffic down, and cash flow dictating the amount
of vans are on the road, but Ben said “We are building slowly, our first year
accounts are near completion and they show a small profit, and that was with a
big marketing splash just before the end of year, we appreciate market
conditions are poor, but if we can improve year on year then we will be happy,
we are not a major player, but we are ensuring our long term sustainability and
not over-stretching ourselves.”
BK Sameday
will have three full time workers from Mid-January, but is looking for
self-employed van drivers looking for work, working off a trade exchange means
that work can be supplied to several people in different areas of the country
90% of the time, Ben added “We have some fantastic tools in our industry, and
if we can pass on some of this business to local drivers, we would be proud to
assist, we can put on where people are returning from as well and ensure they
are loaded for return journeys, which is where we can really make our margins
higher.”

BK Sameday moves into new distribution centre
BK Sameday moves into new distribution centre
BK Sameday have done it; hard work does pay off, several months of pounding the UK motorway’s, driving in the lovely countryside, town to town, building the reputation by doing the job with professionalism.
Now the fledgling Sameday Courier company has moved into a new distribution centre, based in Trench Lock, the new facilities have moved BK onto the next level, the move enables them to stock items for other businesses and to hold the deliveries overnight or until shipment is due.
It also enables them to offer cheaper delivery for people who are looking at shipping items but aren’t in a rush, with BK vans visiting most parts of the UK over the week, they ensure they will deliver at the cheaper rates when in that area.
Managing Director, Ben Coates said “I am building the business on honesty and hard work, I have understood the need for a new distribution unit, but finances have taken a while to build to such a level to sustain it, I have been under pressure at home from the wife as my garage has been packed, however of course I have been unable to hold certain items due to room and security, but because of this new premise will we hope attract new customers, who need reassurance that their goods can be bought in or shipped out with care and trust”
“We value every customer who comes on board, from the public to the biggest or corporates, we have done an array of jobs, from Morrison’s meat for its Christmas photo shoot, to a rather expensive coffee table for a boat down to Cornwall, and we protect their goods and ensure swift delivery, we also delivery samples to major supermarkets, including Sainsbury’s, and no matter how tempting, we never eat the sample food”
The move into the premise has taken place over the August Bank Holiday weekend, the new address is BK Sameday, Unit 20, Trench Lock 3, Telford, TF1 5ST, to contact BK Sameday please call Ben on 07738 715038, or e-mail ben@bkbusinesssolutions.co.uk.

BK Business Solutions, doing it the right way
Ben Coates now has broken away from his former group and is doing things the right way, BK will become a major player in Shropshire, and his same day service has not been affected.
Ben has always been a very hard worker, but during his career has got frustrated with how people run businesses, and how having business partners doesn’t seem to work because of the power battles or others think they know best, well after the success of building up two new start businesses with others he has decided to go it alone.

“I have had too many business partners, and no matter how flexible you try to be, somebody always tries to overpower you, I have had some good partners whom I learnt from, and some bad ones, where I learnt not to do things in certain ways and who think they know best, well now I am going it alone, and a word of warning is I will be brutal to be successful.”
“I have plans and have decided to start with three arms, I have decided to keep the same day courier service going, I built my previous company up to four employees within three months, but pressure of being part of several companies doesn’t work, you need to make one successful then move onto another, the same day will be run by my wife, who was a super sales person and will bring the business in, our vans have already been pounding the UK, we have vans from Combo, all the way up to a Luton Van with a Tail Lift.”
“I am also currently in discussions with a major IT supplier in the town to bring them a dealer’s agreement on mobile phones, this should be announced at the end of June, there is a massive scope in Shropshire for good face to face business, good honest dealers like the old PC builder, and service is the longevity to a good future, I will announce more once all contracts are signed but most planning is now complete, so if your contract is due within the next three months let me know.”
“The third arm is my passion, where my day to day work lies, it is in PR and event management, people seem to overlook the power of a good story, the need to deflect criticism, they don’t seem to miss understand social media, not value their logo and let it drift away from the current trends, we won’t allow any of this to occur, we will ensure you are in the limelight continuously, we will work alongside your management, we will even be your marketing department and save you costs of having a full time employee.”
“People also have moved away from doing events, whether it be a full scale exhibition, a more personal training session or a press conference, we have facilities that will ensure you get your message across, people enjoy personal contact, why not invite your top 20 customers, and talk them through your services, do they use them all? We are currently planning for Ruth Badger to come to Telford and do a talk to business minded people and fans of the Apprentice, we also are in the final stages of organising a network club with a difference, we are full of ideas and can bring them to your party.”
All of our services are available on www.bkbusinesssolutions.co.uk, www.bksameday.co.uk and with the mobile phone sites to launch; our aim is to save you money, by providing a service that enhances your profitability.
