Hacks and Hacking

So the news is it is the end of the world, I guess there are lots of morals to this story, but the way that slimy James Murdoch is behaving, he has to be up for an award.

How Rebekah Brooks can still have a job whilst 200 innocent, family people, lose theirs is nothing short of a disgrace, it is claimed she offered to resign, in her position she should simply quit, leave them with no choice.

It is widely claimed tonight that there has been a purchase of the website domain, The Sunday Sun, so clearly plans are laid, but how many of the 200, well-meaning staff, will be re-employed? How many will be treated with the same respect that the cheating Rebekah Brooks has? I am sure we know the answer, the same as we know that the closing of the paper is a ploy to ensure that the purchase of B Sky B goes through.

The story has taken a dramatic twist over the past few days with the revelations that private individuals and victims of crime have been hacked, this is abhorrent, but up until that point, I actually believe that there was nothing wrong with the hacking of celebrities and I will explain why!

Celebrities live there life in the media, they make a lot of money through there public image, they use and abuse the media for their own benefit, but when the media turn against them to find out that they are cheating the image they have built, they cry foul, they claim they are victims, boo hoo, if you want your image to be portrayed in a certain way then you need to live your life that way, if you get caught out by whatever means, then good, I have no sympathy for you, and neither does a lot of the public.

If celebrities want to use underhand tactics then so should the press to expose them, if they really want product contracts because they have no reputation but behind the scenes are playing games then I hope journalists keep exposing them.

However this does not excuse the fact that the public have been hacked, and for that, good riddance to the News of the World, even if it is a re-brand to the Sunday Sun, make sure it is a fresh start, with a fresh outlook, and a fresh Chief Exec, bye bye Rebekah Brooks.
